Dr David Twedt
Dr. David C. Twedt graduated from Iowa State University and entered an internship and medicine residency in gastroenterology at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Twedt then joined the staff of the Animal Medical Center and was also a research associate at the Liver Research Center of Albert Einstein Medical School.
Dr. Twedt is Diplomate ACVIM, Professor Small Animal Internal Medicine at Colorado State University. He is Past President of the ACVIM and Comparative Gastroenterology Society.
He has also been the recipient of a number of teaching and research awards including Distinguished Teacher Award, WSAVA International Scientific Achievement Award, ACVIM Distinguished Service Award.
He is co-founder of the Veterinary Endoscopy Society and recipient of the Pioneer in Endoscopy award. Publication and research interests include liver disease, gastrointestinal disease and endoscopy.
He is the co-editor of four textbooks including Current Veterinary Therapy and over 250 scientific publications.
